Cons

A few Ethernet ports were available at the satellite maintelevision

There is no dedicated backhaul

Wireless mesh technology

Wi-Fi 6 (4-stream 2404Mbps 5GHz, 2-stream 574Mbps 2.4GHz)

Two Gigabit Ethernet ports per Satellite

Although Wi-Fi 6 is on the rise, there has been a steady increase in Wi-Fi systems. The TP-Link Deco X60 I tried with only three satellites.

It’s also cheaper than the other systems I’ve reviewed, showing Wi-Fi 6 prices are starting to drop.

The Take

One thing that hasn’t changed in the past few years is the landscape of competition. The costs of the competing mesh systems by Amazon, Google, Amazon, etc. have declined, so it is possible that TP-Link might have increased their prices. TP-Link’s mesh is still cheaper than other systems, although the difference in price isn’t nearly as wide as before.

Wi-Fi 6 pricing starts at around $250 for either a 2 or 3 node mesh. This is a better deal than the majority of competitors.

Are you ready for Wi-Fi 6 now? If you haven’t already upgraded to Wi Fi 6 systems, it may not be possible. If you’re looking for more Wi-Fi 6, why not?

It is my practice to not use devices or services from companies that collect and then sell my personal information. TP Link does not sell user data. Even though I find the pricing a little less attractive than the original, I prefer the TP Link model.

Is there a WiFi 6 mesh with a lower price than the others? You might consider the TP-Link Deco X20, X60 or X60 systems. I have found them to be very reliable.

Review Tplink Deco X60 Home Wifi 6 Meshrouter Australian Review

In 2021 for most consumers if you are getting your first WiFi or upgrading an older system we only recommend that you get a Mesh capable system that supports WiFi 6. Even if you currently don’t need multiple nodes, having the ability to add Mesh routers to your original setup is a valuable feature.

WiFi is a revolution in technology. It eliminated the need for wires and enabled consumers to have a lot more freedom. Even the most powerful WiFi won’t be able to compete against a simple wired network. That’s why we chose a router that has wired backhaul.

Backhaul is the term for moving data between your WiFi routers and your modem/ switch. We were inspired by these options to review the TP Link Deco Mesh WiFi 6 Wireless Routers. We have been reviewing the TP-Link Deco X60 triple pack of routers for a few weeks now.
