Element: An all-foam mattress. Wave Hybrid: A hybrid model. Original and Nova available with foam or hybrid designs.
The Nova is Casper’s most luxurious mattress. It was designed by Casper to be the next generation model. Nova Hybrid comes with two comfort layers. AirScape’s open-cell polyfoam makes up the top layer. AirScape open-cell polyfoam is the second layer of comfort. It’s also divided into three zones. The result is a better support system for your lower back, hips and cradling of other parts of your body. Nova Hybrid features a memory foam layer that can be divided into seven firmnesses for extra reinforcement. The support core features pocketed coils encased in high-density foam.
Nova’s all-foam model has the exact same design with the same transitional and comfort layers. The support core of this model is made with high-density, solid polyfoam rather than using coils. Casper does not sell all-foam Nova.

Casper Nova Hybrid Construction And Design
The Casper Nova, while a brand new mattress, is technically more than one. Nova Hybrid is the company’s main product, while Nova Foam is its secondary model. We will be focusing on Nova Hybrid as it is more popular than the all-foam model, which can only be found on Amazon. Below are some layers from the Nova Hybrid.
Support foam The bed stars with a foam layer for the base.
A layer of coils The Nova Hybrid is equipped with pocketed, coil-shaped coils to provide its support. There is a perimeter of foam around the base of the mattress to increase the edge support.
Memory foam layer This layer adds more comfort.
Comfort layer. The comfort layer is made up of a soft and open-cell foam. Casper refers to this open-cell foam as its AirScape technology. Perforations are designed to allow more airflow, so that hot sleepers can rest comfortably at night.
