Is Orgreenic Cookware A Scam?

We are sure you get a lot of emails from Orgreenic Cookware. Sometimes, we receive four or more E-mails daily. In addition, their ads are embedded in lots of web sites we visit. Others have reported seeing their ads multiple times.

Our goal was to see how the Orgreenic pan compares with the All Clad 10-inch pan, which we got at Williams-Sonoma Westport.

If you attempt to get information on these products you will discover they are flooded the web with fake, almost fake, review sites. All of them have glowing reviews about their cookware. Complaintsboard Chowhound makes some criticisms of these non-stick products. Many people don’t like Teflon coatings. The company’s ads emphasise that it is possible to cook without oil, butter, and grease. We didn’t order from them directly (Ozeri.com sells these pans). Many people were having problems with their credit cards and had to have an entire set sent instead of a single pan. While the current offer for today is 2 pans for $19.99 you will have to pay shipping and on any extra offers.

If you go to their web site, you will find that they want your credit card number before they tell you what they are charging you for: never a good sign.

We decided to buy the pan online from Amazon instead. The pan is shipped by As Seen On TV Guys, also known as Telebrands Inc. Our total cost was $26.99. We did not pay any tax, shipping, or other charges. And there were no special offers. It arrived within two days.

Although the Amazon image shows the pan wrapped in bubble wrapping and packed into a Tyvek Priority Mail, it arrived unboxed. Although the infomercial claims that it is impervious to damage, the pan arrived with only a minor dent and chip. According to the information provided, they promised to replace the pan but charge $7.95 for shipping. It seemed quite absurd. Why should they make us pay for their error?

An insert paper was placed in the pan that indicated that the pan must be properly seasoned prior to use. It is a straightforward, but tedious task that we have never needed to do before. You are to pour a film of oil in the bottom of the pan, coat the sides and heat the oil until it begins to smoke. Pour it into the pan, and then let it cool. You can then drain the oil. Do this at least twice each year.

Orgreenic Nonstick Cookware Review

This is what you’ve seen in TV: food won’t stick to the pan. Because there is no Teflon or oil in this pan, the food will still slide out effortlessly. However, is it too good for true? Can we count on enough customer complaints for this to be an advertising trick? This Orgreenic Non-Stick Cookware review will help you to decide.

Besides the well-known frying pan, Orgreenic also has a complete range of products and in this 16-piece set, the following items are included:

Cons

The pieces don’t stay put – This is a very common complaint. While the nonstick properties work great initially, the pans turn sticky after a short while. Some people also found the coating chipped off and easily peelable.

Hot handles – Even the thin ones that are on lids can get very hot when heated. The set comes with pot holders.

Cookware that isn’t dishwasher-safe will need hand washing.

The reviews by customers of Orgreenic Non-Stick Cookware may leave you puzzled about its durability and performance. Many people are happy with the cookware. Others complain about it’s stickiness. While it is easy to cook an egg with no oil in the commercial, buyers have complained that their food sticks to the pan after only a few times.

The disparity in the reviews could be due to the seasoning of the pans. Before using, they must be properly seasoned. Customers have recommended that you season them using the oven to bake oil on the pans. This will ensure that the coating is durable.

What are the pros and cons of Orgreenic’s cookware? If you are looking for a healthier option but can’t live with nonstick cookware, ceramic cookware might be the best choice. Choose stainless steel cookware instead. Keep in mind, however, that ceramic cookware can still lose its nonstick coating.

If you compare Orgreenic and WearEver Pure Living 15,-Piece sets in terms price/value, the latter seems to be cheaper. This is dependent on whether there are any specials at that time. Instead of having kitchen tools to jack up the number of pieces in the set, the WearEver package consists of all cookware pieces while the price seems to be about the same as the Orgreenic. You should always check for deals before purchasing so you can see which one is cheaper.
