Despite the somewhat unimaginative name of this range of Ping putters, they deliver on the course. The range includes 12 models. Anser 4 stands out for people with a strong arced stroke or who prefer a blade to a putting stroke.

Even though it is relatively small in size, the white solid line that runs back to the head makes for an excellent sightline. Our eye also liked the short slant of the hosel.

The putter feels extremely soft on the skin, but it also maintains speed at all lengths. This is a great combination for anyone who enjoys soft feeling directly to the skin.

It is a shame Ping have removed the adjustable element that was available in its Heppler range, but the Anser 4 is a pretty complete package to headline the 2021 range.

+ An improved, cleaner sightline for placing putts.

The hole in the bottom is the reason it’s called Fetch. It can be used to grab the ball directly from the ground instead of having to bend down.

It plays an important role in the design of the putter, as well. As you can see in the Heppler Fetch model – below – this visible area is at address. Ping decided to remove it from the 2021 version of their putter, which will save weight and enhance the overall MOI.

The result is a much more pleasing look at address, as well as an easier to use putter. Ping has also added a fantastic sight line at the top that helps you aim and strike the ball. We think it is our most outstanding mallet of the 2021 range.

+ Helps with consistency. The brand’s success is huge and Lee Westwood, who has both used the Heppler but also the Sigma Fetch according to the speed of greens. You can grab the ball from the hole with the centre cutout. This is when the flagstick must be removed. The colour contrast and this are both great for helping you align.

You will find it to suit you if your putting is straight. It also has high forgiveness that should be able to help with your long putting.

+ Great for alignment, any stroke. It’s not necessarily the most affordable putter. The only Heppler family member that features three alignment lines to help the ball frame. The Vault 2.0 Ketsch is much more accommodating than this one, thanks to its combination of steel and aluminium. This mallet works well with a straight, slight arc stroke.

+ A classic, proven shape that is easy to identify from other Tyne types.

If you are looking for a putter with a strong arcing stroke and a smaller blade head this is the perfect putter.

Tyne is equipped with a tungsten-weight heel and a steel-weight toe. They also provide the Tyne with a weighting system for the toe.

You can also use the Tyne fang to guide you in lining up your ball on the green. This provides an excellent cue at address and is much more accurate than a regular blade. If stability is important to you, this putter will be a good choice. It also has strong arcs in your putting stroke.

+ This mallet is solid in appearance and weight. For a more pendulum-like stroke, 50g has been added on the butt side. This makes it the most comfortable Sigma putter. Fits either type of stroke and, if you like your putter to have a simple look to it, then this should appeal.

+ It’s stunning, and it will incite. This features the traditional heel-toe ballast and is so easy on the eye it’s always a delight. This alignment line allows you to set the ball up easily, and while you might not have a lot of forgiveness, it’s still worth a try.

If you want to feel good about yourself standing over a putt and looking down on something special this ticks that box. Stealth also available.

The 2021 series features three classic Anser models, as one would expect in any PING putter line. Three mid mallets are included and five more mallets make up the balance. There are some familiar shapes, but the Tyne 4 shown below is the only non-blade relic from the Heppler collection. It may look familiar but 2021’s Fetch has a cover to protect the original ball retrieving cutout, giving it a completely new appearance.

The putters of the 2021 series have a strong alignment line and a black finish. A strip of red at the bottom edge of the insert really pops against the black face. This accent continues on the distinctive soles worn by the putters. Like always, PING’s headcovers look great in this bag.

Dual-Durometer insert is the main tech feature of this new range. It combines both a soft front layer of Pebax with a more firm back layer.

Ping says this allows you to feel soft on shorter putts, and gives distance control for longer ones. Dual-Durometer also features fewer, more consistent grooves that aid strike and roll.

The new putters also have been improved by increasing MOI, optimising CG due the varying tungsten and aluminum densities. The weights can be seen in the heel and toe of the Anser face.

Like drivers, the greater the distance between these two tungsten weights, the better the balance and stability of the head in stroke and impact. It is said to aid poor strikes and face manipulation.

New models include 11 in the range. They fall under three categories: Blade (Anser2, Anser 2, Anser 4) and Mid Mallet (4Kushin 4, DS72 CA 70 Tyne 4) as well as Mallet (3Fetch Tyne C Oslo H, Harwood).

The putters are available in 3 lengths of shaft: 33-34 inches, 35-inch and 35 inch. You can also get an adjustable shaft for 50ps50. Please see my Ping Heppler reviews for further information. You can choose from a variety of grips, including the PP58-S paddle or the PP60 pistol.
