Francais Francais has a very strict integrity policy. This blog contains affiliate advertising links.
Shopify is a popular and highly-rated online store builder. I review it and offer a comprehensive overview. Do you think it’s right for your organization?
The number of tools available for building online stores can seem overwhelming. Shopify is perhaps the most popular ecommerce solution, but do you think it’s the best for your business?
You will learn all about Shopify in this review. You’ll be able to see the pricing details, selling templates, and other features of Shopify in detail by the end.
Let’s get down to business with this important question.
Shopify – What do you mean?
Shopify Pricing
Shopify has five pricing plans, and each plan comes with the monthly cost:
Shopify Lite 9 per month Shopify $9 per month Shopify $29/month Shopify $79.9 per month Shopify $79/month Advanced Shopify Shopify Shopify Shopify Shopify Plus pricing.
These are just a few of the things that you should mention quickly.
If you pay upfront you can avail of a discount 10% if you pay for one year, or 20% if you pay for two.
Shopify has additional fee-based point-of sale options that let you sell physical goods. The Shopify review will discuss them in greater detail later.
Shopify provides a complimentary trial.
Vat Moss
Another strong feature of Shopify that’s not frequently mentioned in Shopify reviews is its ability to accommodate the EU’s VAT MOSS rules. You can find it here.
VAT MOSS is basically a requirement that sellers of digital products to consumers in the EU add value added tax (VAT) to each digital product on a per-country basis i.e., there’s one VAT rate to be applied for the UK, one for Ireland and so on.
Shopify computes the applicable rate automatically, contrary to many competing products. Shopify does all the work for you, including setting up tax rules manually. It’s an extremely valuable piece of functionality, and it’s my USP.
Talking of digital products…
Managing Your Shopify Store On A Mobile Device
Shopify comes with two key apps to help you manage your online store: Shopify (or i. OS) and Shopify Point-of-Sale (or o.s.). These apps can be used on Android or i. OS.
Shopify’s principal app is rated 4.6/4.2 on Google Play, and Apple respectively. Google Play user reviews are not so kind to the POS (Shopify POS) app. However, it is rated 2.6 out 5, by Android users. i. OS users rate it 4.4 out 5.
Shopify lets you see and fulfill orders, add/edit products and view reports. It also allows for communication with team members through a ‘timeline.
Shopify’s Point of Sale application lets you utilize Shopify POS to make payments.
