Srixon Vs. Ping Zx5 Driver Review, Alternatives

Srixon ZX5 Driver Review vs PingG425 There have been several advancements in driver tech over the past decade. Today, we want to review a few drivers who definitely fall under the “not your dad’s driver” category.

Two of the best drivers currently on the market promise plenty of forgiveness to all players. Were they able to live up their claims? We found out.

Ping G425 Max features the G425 LST, G425 SFT, and G425 Max. This is the best part about the Ping G425 family of drivers. The golfer has the ability to choose which aspect they wish to focus on from the tee. Straighter shots and high moment of inertia among others are some examples.

Srixon ZX drivers have a family that focuses on providing greater ball speed off the tee, and maximum forgiveness. It consists of the ZX5 and the ZX7.

ZX5 (9.5@, 10.5@); ZX7 (10.5@, 9.5@) Our review: ZX5 packs an extra punch with added forgiveness and range. Another tester said, “The classic shaping and red line on its back look great.” The ball is very fast. “It’s my best driver.” The ZX5 and ZX7 models give golfers the option of a steeper trajectory or more penetration with the ZX5.

OUR VIEW: ZX Drivers ZX5 and ZX7 both deliver extra distance and forgiveness. Tester Xavier said, “The red line along the back and traditional shaping look amazing.” The ball hits the target very quickly. This is the best shot I have made all day. READ THE DETAILS. A Rebound Frame, carbon crown, and a rebound frame increase the distance and forgiveness of off-center hits. The adjustable hosel, two lower weight ports and rear set-up port allow for golfers the ability to adjust the face angle and CG position in order to achieve a fade or draw shot. The ZX5 is triangular and has a higher MOI. It also produces a larger ballflight. While the ZX7, which yields more shotmaking power and provides a penetrating launch, it’s less effective. Read 150+ ClubTest 2021 reviews. Detail: Our carbon crown and rebound frame work together to enhance distance and forgiveness with off-center strokes. Golfers can adjust their CG, face angle, and weight via the adjustable hosel. A ZX5 with a triangular shape has a higher MOI. This produces higher ballflight. While the ZX7, which is rounder and allows more shotmaking freedom, launches flatter.

Srixon X5 Driver Review

Srixon drivers aren’t often well known. While they’re not as well known than more famous brands, the clubs of Srixon are highly respected. Srixon does not release new drivers out of necessity. Their clubs are released only once every two year, which cannot be said for other brands of high-quality golf equipment.

Srixon is a much more important international player, but they’re also becoming well-known in the United States. Srixon is rapidly gaining worldwide popularity. I decided to share my opinions on Srixon ZX5 driver.

Appearance & Performance Let’s start with what you really want to know about the Srixon ZX5 driver It’s a heck of a driver, but I think there are far too many similar, less expensive drivers on the market to consider buying the Srixon ZX5 driver brand new.

Srixon ZX5 is the ideal driver for everyday golfers. The ZX5 driver is better than the ZX7 for 95% of players. This is due to its extra forgiveness and lower center-of gravity.

Srixon ZX5 is a classic 460cc model that almost every golfer knows. The ZX7’s rear is more round, so the ZX5 has a slightly more triangular rear. However, most golfers won’t notice the difference.

The weight is focused back and rear on the club head, which is expected for a driver focused on distance and forgiveness.

Srixon ZX5 drivers are as responsive as any driver when it comes to speed. For most golfers, mishits are still relatively straight and long. This is great news for those who wish to play more fairways.

Overall impression

The Srixon ZX5 was my preferred driver, which is quite an accomplishment. I’ve been playing with the Z785 driver the last year so was prepared to try the ZX7. This just goes to show the importance of trying out more than one option before making a final decision.

Srixon’s progress in driver categories continues, and the new Srixon line is a continuation of that upward trend. Thanks to the new release, Srixon’s mini-tour or Tour presence will be greater in the driver section.
