Design and Features
Archer C7 has a new dual-band AC1750 router. It uses a CPU of 720MHz. It has speeds of up 450Mbps for the 2.4GHz and 1,300Mbps for the 5.GHz bands. Design-wise, the C7 hasn’t changed from the TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750 Dual Band Wireless AC Gigabit Router we reviewed back in 2014. The same glossy-black box measures 9.6 inches by 6.4 inches by 1.3 inch. It houses three retractable, adjustable antennas as well four Gigabit LAN ports and a Gigabit WAN ports. The router also has two USB 2.0 ports. These are connected by an on/off button, reset/wps switch, Wi-Fi On/Off switch and two USB activity leds. On the front, LED indicators show power, radio bands, WAN ports and activity.
The older web console, which is text-based and was used in the original TP-Link Archer C7, lacks the graphical elements found on modern TP-Link routers. For example, the AC2600 Wireless Dual Band Router Archer C2600, priced at $14.99 Amazon, or the AC3150 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Gateway Router Archer C3150, at $159.99 Amazon. It takes a while for the changes to be saved to take effect. I have had to wait as long as 30 seconds in certain cases. It does offer a variety of advanced and basic settings. It has the following information: The Status page contains a list on the left, as well as the LAN, WWAN, Wireless and Traffic Statistics information in the centre. TP Link Archer C7 AC1750 Wireless Dual Broadband Gigabit Router (V2) Guest Network page allows guests to establish separate networks. You can also set access control and bandwidth limits for each network. Parental Controls can be used to set access times and create a list of permitted websites. Access Control allows you create internet access rules across the network. Other settings include Advanced Routing, Bandwidth Control, Port Forwarding and Port Triggering, VPN Pass-Through and Firewall settings, and Dual-Band Selection, which lets you enable and disable each radio band. System Tools can modify time settings, conduct network diagnostics, upgrade router’s firmware and back up system logs.
Bottom line
Although routers can sometimes be finicky in nature, there are many benefits to purchasing this router.
It is inexpensive, has many helpful features, and it usually does the job.
It can also be used as a gaming router and will support many family members simultaneously.

There are so many excellent router types, that it is no surprise AC1750 or AC1900 are the two most in-demand router types. Each offers advanced speeds, reliable performance, and robust features. AC1900’s transfer speed is higher than AC1750. This makes it easier to quickly and efficiently transfer large files.
What is the reliability of Tplink?
I have been using it for about 5 months and so far, it is great. This is a wonderful product for home and business. Personally, for home use I see netgear, linksys, tp-link, and trendnet at all about the same level. It’s all junk. But, sometimes it does manage to make a good device. Oct 30, 2015.
