Power & Safety

Tria 4X offers 5 intensities, with 1 being low intensity and 5 high. Tria refers to them as ‘comfort level’. This will be discussed later.

The intensities range from 7 to 22 J/cm2. This device is among the strongest. Because of the well-known fact that intensity is related to results, the Tria offers the most lasting results among all home-use devices (if you set it at its highest). To get a balanced view, make sure you read the negatives section. Tria 4X’s safety for home use has been proven clinically. It passes all safety and manufacturing requirements in Europe. Plus, it’s FDA-cleared in the US. Let’s look at the safety of your eye and skin.

Tria lasers are classified 1 lasers. This means it’s safe and poses no hazard to your eyes when in use. However, there’s an added eye safety mechanism. Only the entirety of your skin should be covered by the laser aperture. You will not get accidental pulses in the vicinity of your eyes.

It is important to have safe skin. It is now time to turn on.

On the screen, you will see a padlock on the handle-base and a sensor. You must unlock the laser with your skin.

The sensor scans your skin and if it’s too dark it won’t unlock. Tria is not recommended for use as it can be dangerous.

If it reads a safe skin tone (Fitzpatrick I to IV) it beeps confirmation, the padlock disapears and defaults to level 1 intensity. Use the power button to cycle up the levels and choose your preferred intensity.

Tria Beauty Laser 4X Review: Five Weeks into My Journey

[Product submitted for review.]

This is a quick update of my Tria Beauty Hair Removal Laser 4X Journey. I am now halfway through the 5th week using this beast. If you missed my original post, please read it here . Here I explain how it works as well as my initial thoughts. Since I’m almost halfway through my 12 week challenge now, I thought I would go ahead and give you my results so far. Are you able to zap your hair?

My lifeline is the Tria Beauty Hair Removing Laser 4X. My vanity keeps it charged, plugged-in and charged every day. At the moment, I’m at Level 5. This is the most advanced level of the device. The zapping sensation has made my hair feel less painful. When I use the word “painful,” I feel like I am being dramatic. I have a very high pain threshold, but even at maximum level, this device will give you a hot, rubberband-snapping type of sensation at most.

I spent the first few weeks at a Level 3 and Level 4, and I worked my way up to the Level 5 in the past two weeks. The best result is what I seek. For me, it is worthwhile to have a bit of discomfort every now and again if my hair stops growing back.

What are my 5 Week Results?

This is what my leg looks like after not shaving for a WEEK AND A HALF. This device is amazing. It is because I work in the same industry as you that I have a tendency to be skeptical of new products. You will find many products that do not do what you expect. Let’s also face it: Laser hair removal can be done at your home. It’s not.

Even though my hair still grows back, it is much faster and much finer. I can get away with this amount of growth without my legs looking hairy and funky. I have to shave only once in 1.5- 2 weeks. It has been a frustrating experience for me to have extreme itching since shaving my legs. I can no longer pick at and scratch at my legs. I can now shave much less, which is a time-saver.
