From all the research I’ve done on Amazing Grass Green Superfood, I wasn’t able to find any review comments where people complained about side effects. Majority of the negative reviews about it concerns the horrible taste.
My dietitian pointed out that because this organic greens powder is entirely plant-based and gluten-free, most allergies and intolerances shouldn’t come into play.
But, it is a good idea to check the ingredient list for any past reactions. Because most ingredients are in proprietary blends, the list of ingredients may not be as reliable.
As I have always recommended, you should start with low doses of new supplements to test for any negative side effects.

My first Super Greens experience was positive (see my Athletic Greens review ). I wanted to know how Amazing Grass Super Greens fared. For the past 7 days, I’ve been taking the greens supplement each morning since writing the review.

Two guys named Todd and Brandon met in 2002. They discovered a shared passion for outdoor health. When Brandon convinced Todd to try his green drink instead of his usual coffee, he was sold and so were their friends and co-workers. Amazing Grass, which they started together, is still a very popular option with customers.
Amazing Grass has a variety of products for children and adults. As well as powdered supplements, they have effervescent tablets, organic Superfood bars, capsules, and accessories like shaker cups and t-shirts.
I really like that a proportion of each sale goes towards supporting “The Whole Planet Foundation”, a charity that works with local communities around the world to lift them out of poverty. While this is great, I could not find any information to confirm how much it supports the foundation.
Reading through some of the Amazon customer reviews it sounds as if the formula changed sometime in 2017. I searched for more information on this but was unable to dig up anything on it. I am unable to confirm if Amazing Grass Green Superfood has changed.
Amazing Grass Green Superfood Ingredients

OK, I have that out of the system. I looked further and saw that the second Super Green supplement was also concealing their ingredients by using pseudo-scientific blends.
The Amazing Grass Green Superfood ingredient lists are not able to tell exactly how many individual ingredients there are. They are listed in order in which they were present in the mixture.
This may seem disappointing, however it is the norm with many supplements today.
Many ingredients are Organic, which is good news. There are the familiar suspects: Spinach (Spirulina), Chlorella (Wheat), and Barley grasss (Wheat). Many of the ingredients used in this product are Organic. However, USDA Certified Organic Super Greens is rare.
The fact the supplement isn’t 100% organic is not an issue for me, it’s nice that the Greens and many of the other ingredients are organic though.
Amazing Grass is following a trend in Super Greens by including a Pre/Probiotic Blend. As discussed in my Super Greens section, these blends are used primarily for cosmetic purposes and do not provide any nutritional benefits.
