And for good reason.

Its lightweight pans are the main feature that make it special. These pans are extremely easy to use and have no issues with stability. You can feel the extra comfort of their soft handles when you touch them.

Also, this set has good durability. This is especially true when you consider that the set costs only $99! It has a fair price-quality ratio. For kitchen novices, this set is a great choice.

This aluminum body has enough strength. Their thick base allows for even heat distribution. Thermolon ceramic-nonstick coating makes it easy to clean and cook.

The Thermolon is heat resistant. No toxic fumes are released even if you heat your pans to 450/850 Fdeg.

This set is available in many colors, including black, pink, purple, blue and popular turquoise. This feature is what customers love most about the softgrip collection. A set can be customized to match your kitchen decor.

What’s Greenlife Ceramic Cookware all about?

GreenLife offers three lines of ceramic cookware, which are all relatively similar. Every line has a few distinct features that are mostly cosmetic and are intended to appeal to different price points. Each collection has a similar pricing structure.

All three lines are designed in Belgium and manufactured in China. Each pan rests on an aluminum foundation. A non-stick coating called Thermolon is applied to each cook surface. This material was originally created by a South Korean company for fire protection, before rolling out as a preferred cookware material.

All lids are glass so you can see how your dish is progressing while it heats on the stove. Pan and lid handles are made from Bakelite, which is known for its heat-resistant properties. Brand claims the entire manufacturing process is completely free of PFOA and PFAS.

This review will help you to distinguish among the various collections of GreenLife ceramic cookware, evaluate their merits, and identify some competitive options that might be better suited for your kitchen.

Greenlife Ceramic Cookware Review. Cooking Performance

Because Greenlife pans are all so similar, I’m going to spend a decent amount of time talking about them in general before I dive into reviews on specific sets.

Greenlife pans and pots have excellent heat distribution. One of the primary advantages of using aluminum in cookware is the fact that it’s an extraordinarily good conductor of heat. Each piece of Greenlife cookware, which is mainly made from aluminum, heats quickly and evenly.

Nonstick coatings may not be all created equally, but Thermolon does. Greenlife sets of cookware have comparable performance to sets made with Thermolon by GreenPan or other brands. Thermolon, a ceramic nonstick made without harmful chemicals like Teflon or other PTFE-based adhesives is a very effective and efficient option.

Thermolon has a lot of benefits, but isn’t the most easy thing to clean. In order to extend the useful life of Greenlife cookware it’s important to only use small quantities of oil. Although food won’t stick if it’s not coated with oil, your Thermolon’s lifespan will be significantly reduced if this happens. Although you could use baking soda or BKF to assist with this problem, it is not something that you should be using very often.

Greenlife sets come in two primary varieties: SoftGrip , which features insulated Bakelite handles, and Classic , which features stainless steel handles. SoftGrip and Classic are oven safe up to 350 F. Classic sets will only bake at minimum 425 F.

Greenlife pans do not work induction-compatible. This is either a big deal for you (if you have an induction range) or not important at all (if you don’t). Thermolon pans are magnetically-disketed and I recommend them to anyone who falls into either of these categories. While induction “adapter” rings exist, they’re not particularly effective.

Greenlife Ceramic Cookware Set: Review

April 18, 2016, Audrey 22 Comments

Ceramic cookware continues to rise in popularity and is now the choice of nonstick cookware. Because it is widely marketed as a healthier option to Teflon-coated pans, it is indeed worth a try if the price is right. It is possible to find traditional nonstick cookware, even branded items like Rachael Lampe and T Fal at very cheap prices. If you find ceramic cookware such as GreenLife at a competitive price, it is well worth the review.

The following Instructions are needed to complete the 14-piece set.

7-inch open frypan

9.5-inch open frypan

1-quart covered saucepan

2-quart covered saucepan

Greenlife Cookware is it Safe?

Thermolon has a 100% safety record, which is unlike non-stick coatings. It can even be heated. GreenLife reports that the absence of any potentially toxic chemicals means these pans will not emit harmful fumes when heated accidentally.
