I will admit it, I wasn’t surprised when I reviewed Dynatrap reviews that they caught lots of moths and not many mosquitoes. Because I don’t want MOSQUITOES dead, I was worried this might be a complete dud.
In just 2 weeks I was completely amazed at the decline in mosquitoes in our backyard. To completely eradicate all fly insects from my property, I would love to have one of these Dynatrap XLs. But for the moment, it is working in our backyard and I’m happy with that. The Dynatrap XL does not catch all the moths. However, they will continue to work for their purpose. We are hosting a party next weekend so am hoping for even less flying insects in our yard by then!
What I wish it did was kill spiders and snakes, a girl can dream.
Is Dynatrap Xl really effective?
It works well as an insect-catcher and can be used after dark. In fact, Dynatrap markets it as an alternative to zapper lights, with the slogan “Stop zapping, start trapping.” But if you want it as a mosquito-catcher, specifically, your results may vary.
