Ping I500 Isotopes Vs Taylormade P770

The TM P770s aimed to address the control issue of the TM790 irons. The TM P700 is a lighter iron with a shorter head profile that generates more spin. Performance is almost identical between the Ping i500 irons and the TM P700 irons.

Our best advice is to try both, ensure they are fitted for you and go with your preference. Both irons will prove to be extremely useful.

My Best Purchase!

I have been a 20+ years Taylor made loyalist and was going to buy P790 irons… read some reviews on I500 irons and fell in love with the look of the irons… It was then that I felt the irons were worth a shot and decided to have a Ping fitting in Sydney, Australia. This was an amazing experience. Recoil780/F3. These shafts have amazing looks! I hesitated about G700 before finally choosing I500. I found it too tempting to not take the plunge. It’s a very high trajectory and I was able to earn one and a quarter clubs. Seriously happy 🙂

Yes,

I recommend this product.

ClubTest 2020’s second edition was a review of 57 different iron models. Here are the Ping i500 results.

BUY HERE NOW. Our Take: A hollow-bodied structure made of 17-4 and C300-stain steel bodies that provide what PING refers to as metalwood-like performance, is hidden inside a blade profile. Hydro. Pearl Chrome 2.0 is a finish that ensures you control whether it’s wet or dries.

ClubTester’s 5-hdcp take: “Just goes forever. It’s hard to see the difference when you look at the profile. “Hides the forgiveness well.”

Robot’s take: The distance iron of a high-flying player is greater than that of the group average.

Posted Hello Everyone, I strongly believe in ordering some irons from PIng I500.

I have been an avid AP2 player for many years and am now looking for something slightly more accepting.

We are seeking long-term reviews and not launches monitor reviews.

My 3 – PW Set is likely to be more common than PX 6.0. You might also get a pair or glide-forged wedges.

Thanks

Expert Review: Ping I210 Irons and Ping I500 Irons

Ping introduced the Ping Ping 200 and Ping 500 irons, their most recent additions in the Ping golf family. Let’s take a deep dive into each club’s unique construction and performance abilities in our review below.

Club Tested 7-Iron Shaft; True Temper Dymic Gold Flex; Loft 33deg Ping II20 irons are players’ irons that evolved from the Ping I200 irons. With a wider custom tuning port, this insert is 30% larger. It is also filled with 50% more soft elastomer. Ping claims the insert provides 25% greater face contact as well as a more smooth feeling through impact. Ping claims that the new sole and leading edge combine with a smaller shape and minimal offset to improve turf interaction. For machine-like precision and consistency, the i210 grooves have been precision-milled. Additionally, the pitching wedges and U-wedge replicate the Glide2.0 wedges’ precise grooves. Fliers can be prevented by a sharper edge radius, and smaller groove spacing.

These irons have been designed for professionals and gamers. I do believe that players looking to play with one digit handicaps will enjoy these irons. + to 14 handicaps.

Wow, there is a ton to like about the Ping i210 irons! The moment the i210s arrived at my address, I was able to feel confident. The Hydro-Pearl 2.0 finish looks clean and smooth, but also like it will hold its finish for a long time. Hydro-Pearl finishes have a white top line which helps align the head at the address.

The toe’s longer and more prominent mid-thickness topline has an elegant look that gives it an almost boxy appearance. Although the sole of the blade is not quite as narrow, it is still sharp and defined. The leading edge also has an almost boxy appearance.

You get excellent feedback. My shots were extremely smooth and precise. Elastomer inserts improve feel. They also eliminate vibrations and clicky sounds cavity backs might make. I had no problem producing a repeatable slight draw that launched effortlessly. It was easy to fly a flighted-down ball flight by following a brief follow through.

These irons are smooth.0 and worth a serious look if you’re in the market for a new gamer or a step up from your current game-improvement set. While you may not get incredible distances from these irons, nor maximum forgiveness with the midsized I210 clubheads, there will be consistency in distance, performance, and feel. I may have a real decision to make when my irons are up for replacement.

Ping I500 Designs Irons

Ping’s G700 irons and the i500 have many similarities, mainly due to its design and appearance.

It has a lovely forged, muscleback appearance due to the offset. The club head however is hollow.

Ping i500s face is made out of C300 maraging iron, which flexes more on impact than earlier models. Ping claims that it combines with 17-4 stainless to create a metal-wood-like result.

You get better ball speed and more distance with the comination, but without losing any forgiveness.

The geometry of the muscleback has been designed to increase the trajectory of ball flight, and is has improved it dramatically to help extract more distance.

Ping uses a Hydro. The irons have a Pearl Chrome 2.0 finish to ensure consistency in distance control and accuracy, especially when playing in the rough or wet.

Verdict of Ping I500 Irons

The i500 irons have a classic muscleback look, ooze sex appeal and will be a major player with golfers who like to look the part on course – although they do come at quite a premium of a price tag.

These irons don’t have to be pretty. These irons are also about performance. The i500 range has the longest distance Ping can add to it – enough to make club selection one less than with other models.

Ping i500s will appeal to all levels of golfers, not just those who are better at playing blades. These i500s offer all-round performance and plenty of forgiveness. But their real draw is the impressive distance they provide.

Is Ping I500 Irons forgiving?

Forgiveness is not an issue, but the sole can create some serious divots if needed. Ping hollow irons can sometimes sound like metalwood. The i500, however, has an iron-like sound that we are relieved of.

Is Ping I500 suitable for High Handicappers

These benefit the golfer by providing greater distance on off-centre strikes, or essentially a larger sweet spot. Although we don’t recommend them for those with higher handicaps they are more suitable than most people think.

Are Ping I500 Blades?

Ping informed us that the i500 was similar to the G700 but contained a more compact ‘players” package. Ping describes them as hollow muscleback-style sandpaper irons, with an elegant look and minimal offset. You have the choice of i-Blades, i500/i210 or G400. Jul 16, 2018

Who Does Ping I500 Benefit?

PING’s Hydropearl 2.0 chrome finish repels water for more consistency shots from rough and wet grass while resisting scratches and wear. The PING i500 irons are ideal for golfers who want a classic muscle back iron with maximum distance.
