Performance

PING’s Sigma G putters have plenty of material. It can be difficult to fit in enough information into the Performance section. First, let me mention something I often overlook – PING’s Fit For Stroke System. PING has identified 6 for Straight strokes players and 9 for Slight Arcs players. There are also 2 for Strong Arcs players. Some styles work for all stroke types. Players can easily identify their stroke type using the i.PING app and find the best putters for them.

Also, PING allows golfers the freedom to pick their weight. The putters in the Sigma G line range from 340 grams to 400 grams. You also have the option of two stock grips – the PP60 for a small, rectangular shape (57g) or PP62 for a bigger, more round (68g). The Doon CB or Kinloch CB are extremely stable and provide a grip that is 130 grams in size (17”).

No matter what model, weight, or grip you choose, the Sigma G line will deliver more forgiveness than your average putter. High MOI and TrueRoll Face Technology are the reasons for this. Sigma G putters offer more forgiveness and higher MOI than any other putters. This is because their larger insert cavity makes it easier to move weight from the heel to the toe. The True Roll Face has deeper grooves in the center of the face and shallower grooves towards the heel and toe. This helps to even out stroke speeds and allows all putts the same distance. You can say it is one of the top, most successful putter technologies in golf. The benefits will be apparent immediately.

Ping’s Sigma G Tyne was a top-10 MOI putter in 2018. It made it through our most extensive equipment test Top Gear. Below, see what the testers thought about it.

Ping Sigma G Tyne Putter Review – You need to be aware that The Tyne’s fanged front spreads weight and boosts the moi performance. Lee Westwood really likes this product. Ping states that the variable-depth and width grooves in the aluminium insert allow for consistent ball speed across all areas of the face. This helps decrease your 3-putt potential. A high-energy, elastomer insert is behind your face to enhance the feeling.

Gear

Ping Sigma G Range boasts 15 Models: Gear WITB Drivers Fairways Hybrids Putters Balls Shoes, Apparel, Gloves Grips and Shafts.

This new range incorporates face technology that was inspired from the soles for athletic shoes. Additionally, advancements in True Roll Face Technology across the entire face have led to improved performance and feel.

The precision milled pattern from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium allows for a variation in pitch and depth, which enhances performance.

Sigma G putters, a new and exciting technology, increase Impact stability of every Sigma G model. Larger face cavity cavities permit weight savings to further be redistributed to the perimeter in order to increase the MOI.

Optimally placed CG positions help to reduce skid and incite forward roll. Each putter is available in Platinum and Black Nickel. All have a contrasting facial tone for setup and consistency.

Two options of the proprietary Ping Pistol tapered grip are offered to fit a golfer’s preferred grip style. The PP60, a midsize, polygonal grip, and the PP62, an oversize, more rounded grip, are designed to match the shapes of the golfer’s hands. Standard on all counter-balanced models is the CB60 grip.
