Unboxing The Samsung Galaxy A21S

It comes in a box made of white paper. It contains a 15W charger and a USB-C cable. We are glad to see Samsung bundling a fast charger with the phone; few companies do that for their budget offers.

A screen protector is not included on the phone and neither are there any cases inside the package.

Samsung Galaxy A21S Review: Design And Key Features

In design terms, the Galaxy A21s is just as eye-catching as Samsung’s recent releases. It’s not made from plastic, and isn’t protected by layers of glass. However, the Galaxy A21s has a slimmer design with minimal bezels on the screen and a notch at the top left corner that is unobtrusive.

The phone’s back is slightly bent, and the LED flash and four cameras are arranged in an orderly rectangle in its top-left corner. There is also a center-mounted fingerprint sensor that can be used as a keypad to unlock the phone. You can also use the selfie camera to unlock your face.

The black color scheme was our review model, and it looks great with the iridescent oil-slick. In fact, all three colours – black, white and blue – have this rainbow-like effect, and they each look far better than other phones at this price.

A USB C charging port powers the Galaxy A21s. It’s located at the bottom of your phone and flanked with a 3.5mm stereo jack and speaker grille. A volume rocker and power button sit on the right, with a shared nano-SIM and microSD tray on the left, which takes cards up to 512GB in size.

Samsung Galaxy A21S Review: Performance And Battery Life

Samsung’s Exynos 980 chipset powers the Galaxy A21s. It has a max clock speed of 2GHz and 3GB RAM. We have never reviewed this phone before, but it appears that it is mostly found in Vivo phones, which don’t often make it to the UK.

The Galaxy A21s performs well, however, you can find better phones at a lower price. You can’t expect the same speeds as its Qualcomm and MediaTek-based rivals, but the Galaxy A21s rarely felt unresponsive or sluggish. Sometimes it takes a little while for the phone to start up, and occasionally the screen will remain on after unlocking successfully. But that’s all.

The graphics processing situation is similar. Although the Galaxy A21s does manage to narrow the gap, it is still behind other devices. The lower-resolution screen does help boost performance, however, and I didn’t notice any glaring issues in less demanding games such as Stardew Valley and Gris.

[Note: The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 failed to run the GFXBench test] If you care about battery life, which I would argue is a far more important metric, then you’re in for a real treat with the Galaxy A21s. In our standard battery-rundown test, where we set the screen to 170cd/m2, switch on flight mode and play a looped video, the Galaxy A21s lasted 22hrs 48mins. This phone lasted more than five extra hours than Realme 6.

Samsung Galaxy A21S Smartphone Reviews – Quad Camera On The Cheap

Low energy consumption and high performance. Samsung Galaxy A21s is an affordable mid-range handset. However, the device offers both a flexible and unnotched display as well as a camera system. The price is comparable to other phones with more memory and greater performance. Samsung’s phone can still impress us in this review.

Samsung’s Galaxy A, and Galaxy M ranges of midrange smartphones have enjoyed a steady sales rate for many years. It isn’t surprising that the manufacturer releases new models constantly to address any gaps in their midrange product lineup. The Samsung Galaxy A21s retails for about 200 Euros (~$238), which is why it has mass appeal. The device offers four cameras on the back and a notchless display that looks quite modern.

This price point is very competitive. The price of smartphones in this range is great, with both Xiaomi ($238) and Huawei (200-Euro) being the most affordable. Can Samsung keep up?

Samsung Galaxy A21S Review: Design And Display

A “glasstic” back is the marketing term for Samsung’s Galaxy A21s. This refers to marketing language that mixes ‘glass’ with ‘plastic’ in a single word. Anyways, with rectangular camera array and ergonomic curves in the right places, this is the premium of the designs that Samsung reserves for its mid-range and upper-tier A-series phones.

It feels and looks better than similar M-series products in the same price bracket. It has a punch hole notch in the upper left corner, and a capacitive rear mounted fingerprint sensor. This is better than any of the affordable Samsung smartphones’ in-display optical fingerprint sensors.

Charging port is USB Type-C and Samsung isn’t skimping on the audio jack or the dedicated card slot. Although it weighs in at 192g, this phone feels light due to the large 5000mAh lithium battery.

An AMOLED screen was not selected. A Galaxy A21s LCD panel measures 6.5 inches and has HD+ resolution. Colors are still punchy and blacks are deeps. Maybe people who get it on the offline shelves will not mind the lack in sharpness.

The Galaxy A21S is bright enough to be used outdoors and supports HD streaming via apps such as Amazon Prime and Netflix. Prime Videos even streams HD content.

Samsung Galaxy A21S First Impressions

The Galaxy A21s is a very familiar Samsung affordable phone. The design, software and branding remain its biggest strength. The battery is adequate and we didn’t face any issues with day-to-day performance.

However, we did not expect AMOLED panels at this price. In fact, most other Android phones makers now refuse to include AMOLED modules in their budget and even mid-range devices. The affordable smartphone market has seen a significant increase in demand (under Rs. The affordable phone market (under Rs. 20k) has undergone radical changes. The Galaxy A21s might seem slightly more expensive than the previous generation.

To determine whether we are able to recommend Galaxy A21s, we’ll need to further test the performance of our camera. We will be back with our full review soon. In the meantime, feel free to ask Galaxy A21s questions via comments.
