Taylormade Sldr-430 Tp Driver

#Loft Up for the Longest Drives TaylorMade’s SLDR has now had the longest shelf cycle of just about any driver TaylorMade has ever produced. It has been around for over a decade and it still does very well in sales. While by now most golfers have read about the issues of falling numbers in the golf industry and potentially why we haven’t seen any new drivers for TaylorMade, but no matter the logic or reason behind it, the SLDR is a great driver. I put my #Loft and the SLDR 430 TP into the bag. This is the real Up campaign. Some of my longest drives have been made by it.

If you have ever read one of my reviews, you will know that I thoroughly test all new drivers. In fact, many of these drivers were very successful in 2014. Some have been really forgiving, some have been really low spin, some have great feel and some are super adjustable. In fact, I put the SLDR 460 into the bag in 2013 and even though I had done all my driver testing, the bag kept returning to the bag. The SLDR 430 TP has gotten rid of the 460.

I chose the 10.5*. It was perfect. The extra face angle was necessary to maximise the drivers spin and launch rates. Most golfers, if not all of them will have to use #Loft. You need to lift this club in order to make the most of it. I left the Neutral setting and moved the SLDR weight two clicks to the toe which gave me the perfect feel and flight.

TaylorMade SLDR 430 TP is their top of the line driver. This shaft comes with a Fujikura Motore Speeder 7.3 shaft. The shaft has an extremely narrow dispersion and lower launch. I’ve been a big fan of this line of shafts. The newest Fujikura Pro 73 Tour Spec shaft also came in my testing.

One of my first years was Troy Burne (WI) – this is the year that I would say I had a real “home course”. I had been sticking to the same tees all year. However, I made the decision on a late summer round to return. With my SLDR 430 TP, I could find the exact same spots as usual and for a longer time at a few holes. For the next few rounds, I went back to my regular box but found some new places. This was my longest on-course drive.

The Flightscope numbers shown below are just a confirmation of what I saw on the course. The driver of this driver is LONG! The sweet spot for the driver of the golf balls is quite small.

The compact size is obvious and it may not be enough for you. The sweet spot for this driver will not be enough if you’re already all over his face. Low ball hitters will require you to reach the 12* head, or more, to obtain enough launch. If you aren’t able to spin the ball well with your current setup, it may be too slow. Before you grab one of these drivers, I recommend that you get fit. It was obvious to me after seeing my friend at the TMPL Minnesota that he had one.

Final Thoughts

It is difficult to believe that the SLDR only came out seven years ago. Taylor. Made is the inventor of many drivers. This revolutionary design made loft and weight adjustment easy for most golfers.

Taylor. Taylor. And, there is no reason why we shouldn’t do the same in 2021. You get everything you want in a driver: accelerated ball speed and lower spin. This driver is extremely cost-effective.

Is Taylormade Sldr Good?

The SLDR driver is a surprise, but not surprising. It is rated 4.6/5 by Global Golf users, 4.3/5 on Amazon with 93 reviews, and 4.56/5 on TaylorMade customers.

Taylormade Sldr forgiving?

TaylorMade is promoting their SLDR driver, which has a line that translates to’more distance via more loft’. The head produces less backspin than the other models. You can play this driver at a loft higher than other models, making it easier and more fun to hit. Sep 10, 2013.

How old was Taylormade Sldr?

2013 FIRST HIT TESTED TaylorMade SLDR is a popular choice for the two main tours. It is claimed that this driver has been the best ever made by the company. We hit both the SLDR and its predecessor, the R1 Black, on our GC2 launch monitor on the range at Stoke Park Golf Club.Jul 6, 2018

What Does Sldr imply Taylormade

SLDR DRIVER The driver quickly morphed into a 430 version, geared toward the advanced golfer. TaylorMade’s SLDR engineering, which is against the grain of golf industry practice, is based on a low and forward centre of gravity (CG). May 6, 2014
