Swiss Diamond Cookware Reviews

Swiss Diamond cookware was invented by researchers at a facility exploring non-stick materials and coating surfaces in Switzerland in the late 1990s. Originally, the HORT Coating Center produced titanium-reinforced PTFE items. Swiss Diamond was founded after it became apparent that diamonds provided better reinforcement for non-stick coatings.

This article is a compilation of reviews of many nonstick cooking products that I have done over the last few years. Their most well-known product is the Classic High Density HD series, which is why I will be focusing on it here.

To create my Swiss Diamond Cookware Review, I spent 10 hours reviewing owner feedback and going through specifications to compare features with other brands. This review will help you save time, stress, and have a good idea of the features and benefits that these pans can offer.

In the nonstick category where products are notoriously short-lived, Swiss Diamond cookware provides unexpected durability. Many owners say that their pan is still going strong after 5 years of regular use.

It is safe to purchase this nonstick cookingware despite the low complaint rates and its ability to last longer. However, because of its high price it can still be dangerous. Nonstick coatings will lose their effectiveness with time, no matter how high the price. If you buy a $20 pan and it can last you a year, spending $100 will be able to last you 5 years. What about a Swiss Diamond frypan? Will it last you five years?

It is because of this that we do not like expensive nonstick cookware. While we agree with all the positive Swiss Diamond cookware reviews online, we also cannot overlook the fact that nonstick cookware have a high tendency to fail after repeated use over time. We don’t believe the Swiss Diamond pan’s coating can last longer than five years. It might be worthwhile if you’re looking for non-Chinese cookingware. Blue Diamond Cookware could be an affordable option for those who just wish to experience a diamond-infused skillet.

Swiss Diamond Cookware: Beware!

Since 2013, I have been wanting to make this post. Because this is an important topic. It was so important that I took a break from it to be able to calm down, and then write about it.

I’d rather present my experience with Swiss Diamond cookware as a series of facts rather than a tirade of opinion.

This time, instead of writing a review in a standard format, I will just copy and paste emails with Swiss Diamond’s international marketing manager. You’ll get a good sense of what went wrong with our Swiss Diamond pots and pans and my expectations based on the lifetime warranty we thought we had. And you’ll also read first-hand how Swiss Diamond doesn’t stand behind their products.

To make sure that I don’t forget to mention William Ashley before I send the email, though, I must first thank him for the place where our Swiss Diamond cookware was purchased. The store doesn’t carry Swiss Diamond any more (hmmm, why …),), but they were extremely helpful in helping me reach Swiss Diamond’s representatives. Also, they generously gave my family an interim set while our Swiss Diamond set was back at the warranty folks to be inspected.

William Ashley provided us with a credit for purchase of new pans and pots after Swiss Diamond had failed to fulfill its warranty promise. The interim cookware was also donated by us to a family who needed it. William Ashley was astonished. Swiss Diamond could have learned a lot from you.

In January 2007, we purchased Swiss Diamond Cookware. This includes a large, heavy pot as well as a variety of pans. Apart from the pot, there was flaking. We were informed that this happened only with expensive Swiss Diamond cookware. As the year went on, it became worse. The combination of motherhood, work and a long-winded blog career made it difficult for me to finally contact Swiss Diamond in the latter half of 2013.

How They Tested It: Our Kitchen Appliances & Technology Lab tried 72 brands of cookware. We looked at how evenly skillets distributed heat on gas and electric ranges, and how well they browned steaks. A saucepan’s ability to maintain a steady simmer while retaining sauce from scorching was another factor. For nonstick cookware, we tested how well surfaces released eggs and pancakes, and how easy they were to clean. Also, we evaluated the ease of all cookware, such as whether they were safe to heat or if each one is dishwasher- and oven-safe.
