Zoeller M57 sumppu reviews say that it is another worthy member of the 50 Series. This model is comparable to the M53 in terms of features but has one key difference. In the M53, the impeller is made from thermoplastic, but with the M57, it is constructed from more durable cast iron.
Cast iron is not only more durable than other materials, but the heat distribution evenly distributes heat to increase the motor’s lifespan. The M57 is a better option if you are willing to spend a little more in order to protect your home against flooding and humidity. It is expected that the M57 will last 10+ years, due to its superior heat protection than other Zoeller motors.
It’s not uncommon for the M57 to last seven years. If you take care of it and properly install it, you can expect 7-10 year of reliable service. The one downside to the M57’s high capacity and power is that it has the habit of sucking up small debris, which isn’t necessarily designed to go through a sump pump. Although this could cause blockage, you can take steps to keep small objects from entering the pump.

As far as we know, this review only covers sump pumps that have 1/3 HP motors. For most domestic sump pumping situations, 1/3 HP motors are sufficient. However, you can get more power with an additional option. Zoeller’s 980001 comes with a 1/2-HP motor. It pumps an astonishing 72 GPM at 43 GPM.
