Twill Zip Tote

Everlane Twill Zip Tote It is less than 1 lb 15 oz. The dimensions of the item are 13.5″ high x 17″ wide x 3″ deep.

It came in reverse-denim. After only a few months of carrying the bag around, the zipper had begun to fall apart. Although I did not have a large laptop with me, the bag wasn’t too heavy. Everlane sent me the new bag after I informed them. They also took my old one back for inspection. I’ve had the replacement bag for about a year now, and here’s what it looks like now.

This is not bad for a bag I carry all day. A water mark from a spilled drink is visible inside, but not on the exterior. Although there is some wear in two of its corners, it otherwise holds up very well. You can even fit it a lot.

Below is what I normally have on me: water, change purses, transit cards, magazines or books, and my handbag organizer which includes sunglasses, sunglasses, pen, lipstick, lip balm and notebook. My life was transformed by the handbag organizer. You can store everything in it and you have multiple pockets. It also makes it super easy to swap bags between them (which I rarely do).

The organizer I originally had was from Muji. It was sturdy but not large enough. The organizer was not light enough for my needs. This one I purchased from Amazon was a little over 3 ounces. While it has a lot of flimsy material and some netting around the edges isn’t as strong, you will find that the zippers open and close well. Update: Since then, I switched to a pouch-system. You can carry your laptop in the Twill Zip Tote but it lacks structure and padding. If you do, make sure to put it in an appropriate case.

You can also get the bag in a double-toned version.

Everlane Twill Weekender

TripSavvy/ Joseph Gonzalez We purchased an Everlane Twill Weekender for our expert reviewer. Keep reading for our full product review.

Packing for a weekend trip can be the toughest of any timeline; if anything, there’s more opportunity for over-packing. It is important to choose the right bag. Everlane’s Twill Weekender bag is light and easy to carry.

You don’t likely need many pockets or hidden storage. It’s even better if the bag doubles as a workout bag. The weekender must be tough enough to survive being stuffed into an airplane overhead bin, and flexible enough so that it can be packed into a car trunk. Let me tell you if the Everlane lightweight luggage is capable of all this.

Blog

Moving from conspicuous consumerism to conscious consumption. Doing reviews as well. This site features many non-sponsored reviews for Everlane. Elizabeth Suzann. Only Child. Grana. It’s my goal to reduce waste and love bags. While both are great, they are very different. Celine is my personal tote and Everlane my work tote. The twill tote was great because it could zip up completely, however, for my work day, I don’t need the zipper. I was looking for a sturdy tote that can hold everything I stuff into it. It’s the Day Market Tote that does this perfectly.

The only difference is that the MG bag has a patent-leather interior. The MG Tote is a bit shinier, and more stiff than the Everlane. Unlined, the Everlane bag has a single pocket that is flat and rather inconvenient.

I was asked by Everlane to get more information on their leather. I received this informative reply:

So the leather we use is from meat-eating cattle. This leather is not going to be wasted. We use it for making shoes and bags. The only source of the leather I can find is from adults. Because it has been tanned in Italy, we call it Italian leather. In the production of various products, we use both vegetable and chrome tanning. We only use chemicals that meet all current environmental regulations in chrome tanning. According to my information, chrome tanning is used for brightly-colored leather products and vegetable tanning the rest.

When you have to decide between this bag or the Mansur Gavriel one, this is what I recommend. You can be more transparent about the source of the leather used in the Everlane bag. It’s also ethical and better.

– If you love that leather smell on bags, this tote is for you. This tote still has a leather smell after one month of daily usage.

– I love the large flat handles that don’t dig into your shoulders – This bag is super sturdy and can stand up on its own, but it’s still super lightweight

Review of Everlane Tote – [Updated]

We’ve added a review to this post after we took our Everlane bag across France. The review is at the end. For details on our experience with it, please see the article. My mom and I have been searching for the perfect carry-on tote for our upcoming trip to France, and we had some pretty high standards. The bag had to be:

– large enough to hold all of our needs – but not too big that it can’t be used as a day bag – chic, obviously!

– well-made with great reviews – and at a really good price point Not only that, but since it’s easier to pack light when you stick to a color palette, Mom needed one that came in black, and I needed a brown one. Although we didn’t necessarily need the exact same bag, however, after reading the glowing reviews of the Everlane Tote, we decided to give it a try. This bag was perfect and we decided to order the black leather with reversedenim. The brown leather with navy-twill was what I had in mind, but I decided to wait to see the black version. Let’s just tell you, the navy will be my next purchase.

It has been a joy to pack it for our weekend trips and trips to my mother’s mountain house. I was delighted to discover that our tote came with free shipping was of equally great quality!
