Buffalo Trace Bourbon Review

Adam Boothby Which house bourbon is your favorite?

They would clear huge tracts from all vegetation and leave barren land after the American bulldog blazed its trail across Kentucky’s landscape.

One such sight was the home of Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is hard to find a better site than the Kentucky River, where you can build your distillery.

The distillery was home to some of whiskey’s biggest tycoons over the years. 1999 saw renovations by Sazerac Company, which rebranded the distillery THE BUFFALO TREE. Buffalo Trace Bourbon will be the keystone brand to lead the charge, just as the bison did.

This 8 year old bourbon of incredible amber goodness takes you back in time and allows for a more simple way to live. Thanks for reading Mike and Jim’s review. Cheers!

Summary

The UK view of this bourbon is not bad, it just seems a little strange. This bottle can be found in nearly every UK supermarket, and many public houses. No bourbon lover should take it seriously if you don’t have one.

Buffalo Trace is now part of our growing list. Our recommendation for this whiskey is that it be drunk neat and without any water.

As mentioned in our podcast (episode 8), we said we would report in this review the cost of this bourbon in the US. Although it seems like the UK price is similar, around PS22. But, keep in mind that this bourbon is available in a 750ml glass bottle in the US and that its ABV is 45%.

While our taste notes didn’t compare with Buffalo Trace’s, the Buffalo Trace site does have a lot of information. On the nose we noticed vanilla and mint missing and found the finish medium. We can agree that the finish is very smooth and has a lot of depth.

Fizz (Kentucky Mule)

Although ginger beer has a lot going for it, the flavour of the bourbon is balanced by the sweetness. It also balances some of ginger’s bitterness with its sweetness. I consider it a winner.

Advertisement This is a popular choice for affordable Bourbon options. This bourbon is delicious, consistent and easily accessible enough to find in bars. Of the two options, Buffalo Trace wins out over Bulleit Bourbon, but only slightly.

Buffalo Trace Straight Bourbon Review – Buffalo’s Sure Make Great Bourbon Mark Bylok Buffalo Trace Straight Bourbon Taste score: 90 Category: American Straight Bourbon, NAS Whisky Cabinet Score: Buffalo Trace Bourbon is stand-out in the category of available, higher-end, and affordable American bourbon. While Wild Turkey 101 is more complex, Maker’s mark has a smoother middle. However, Buffalo Trace Bourbon is the perfect balanced bourbon. This bourbon is very light on Rye with some spice and oak. There’s also a lot of sweetness, although it doesn’t seem to be too heavy. If you don’t believe me, take the time to chew Buffalo Trace while tasting it. You can even chew Kentucky. Keep all these flavours going. There isn’t a time when this drink doesn’t reward.

Buffalo Trace Distillery makes the biggest hits in whisky. This is their “intro bourbon.” Buffalo Trace Bourbon has a different flavor profile than other whiskies from this distillery. It is intended to be a more “middle-of-the road” whisky, which will please all tastes. This is a remarkable feat. It does this so well that it is a benchmark for all the other products.

There is no doubt that whisky fans don’t keep Buffalo Trace Bourbon bottles in the whisky cupboard. You’re more likely to enjoy other great whiskies made by the distillery. Yet, I find it hard to imagine a whisky cupboard without this bottle.

Nose – There is leather polish with some cinnamon spice and dark vanilla notes.

Palate: Freshly melted caramel, burnt sugar, vanilla, and some dark peppery spice. The honey notes also open up with each sip. There’s just the barest welcomed hint of dark dried fruit and cinnamon spice. They continue to be a harmonious blend of the nose, palate, and finish.

Conclusion: Easily mistakable for a more expensive whisky.

Not recommended Good whisky, but not a ‘must-have’ Your great regular rotation whisky that’ll come and go Excellent, a near must-have Extraordinary, memorable, and original Wild Turkey Rare Breed – Hey Man, …

Whiskey Review. Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Derek Sun Bourbon While the Whiskey Wash appreciates this, The Whiskey Wash did have full control over the content.

Buffalo Trace Distillery boasts that it is the oldest operating distillery still in operation. The roots of its existence can be traced back at pioneers from the west during the 18th Century. Even under Prohibition, the distillery was still open for the making of “medical” whisky. The company won many accolades including seven “Distillery of the Year” Awards at different international whiskey competitions.

Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon is an entry-level American whiskey that I find to be a masterpiece. It is smooth, delicate, and has a crisp, clean taste.

This whiskey and distillery’s name derives from the trails that bison and human walked across the prairies. Whiskey is aged in white oak barrels for 7 years before it is delivered to you in beautiful, curved bottles. The whiskey has an orange and moderately amber color.

The aroma takes some effort to pick up, but it is immediately attractive and delicious, with full woody scents and sweeter and fruitier elements as well. Corn, barley malt and rye make up the mash, which is responsible for the flavor of nuts and fruits. The vanillins released by the white oak during aging also deliver sweet vanilla flavors. Buffalo Trace, unlike other standard whiskies is extraordinarily smooth and glides effortlessly in the mouth. While a lot of whiskey has bitter or smoky tastes that might discourage newbies from drinking whiskey more often, there’s very little of this in Buffalo Trace. This bourbon is a good choice for those who have never had whiskey before and aren’t used to smoking. The feeling of drinking it is invigorating and inviting.
