Verdict Taylormade P790 2019 Irons
It was a pleasure to try the TM P790, which I find is a good thing. Overall, I found the 2017 version slightly shorter than my test. Who knows? Maybe that thinner face just gave me 7% more space.
Because of the 2mph ball speed improvement, my distance was increased to 150 yards with 2017, and 156 yard with 2019. The length didn’t effect the dispersion left and right either which is very important as its not just all about gaining yards, its about gaining yards whilst still hitting the ball straight. The sound at impact can be a little quieter than indoors but is still not loud enough to make a difference.
If the 2017 model has not been released yet, I suggest you try these irons. However, the question you must ask is: Are they better?
The 2017 and 2019 models have excellent irons. I do not feel the need for iron replacement every couple of years, as the distance technology isn’t what I think is necessary.

Details: The hollow-bodied iron structure has a blade-like appearance. However, it is made with a thin, forged face and tungsten in the toe to increase flight, forgiveness, and distance. Speed, a compound that softens sound and feels, is also added to the irons. Foam, a foam-like urethane material. This iron is best when it combines the best aspects of each world.

The availability of irons is not equal. They are both the player’s and game improvement iron. TaylorMade P790irons have filled the gap. These irons fall into both of these categories. How does it all work?
Taylor. Made chose to keep the same name. This is something that’s worth mentioning. It also shows that they trust their P790 Iron and the high reputation it has, which is something I appreciate. There’s no need to try and repair something that’s not broken.
Taylor. Taylor. Made was replaced with the company logo. It is shiny now and the top line has been trimmed a bit. The 2019 irons have a slightly premium finish. This is not something they wanted, but the irons do have serious shelf appeal.
The Speed technology improvement and a thinner face are the only technological improvements. Foam injection in the head. This will increase your ball speed as well feel the difference between solid and off center hits.
The longer irons also feature what Taylor. Made claims that its Speed Pocket is the most flexible. It is designed to maximize ballspeeds, and allow for forgiveness when shots are taken lower than the head. The idea is to stop that nasty stinger from being too strong.
Taylor. Taylor also used a 15 percent heavier weight of tungsten in their head. It was placed there to help increase the launch angle, and accelerate the ball’s ascent.
They Are For Whom?
They are not intended to be used for game improvement and should not be recommended for high handicappers or beginners. Are you an established player looking to improve your game?

The next thing we want is to be sure that this product has been tested and proven safe by touring professionals such as Rory Mc. Jason Day and Ilroy are pictured with these clubs in the bags. Taylor stands out for their cutting edge technology. Made products, and they are leaders in this field.
